Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Student Life and Housing and the Residence Life Coordinator, the Residence Life Assistant performs varied administrative and clerical duties in support of the Residence Life program.

This is a student position that will work a minimum of 5 hours per week for up to 18 weeks in the semester. Work sites will include the three CMC residential campuses (Spring Valley, Leadville, and Steamboat Springs). CMC’s workweek is Saturday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position: incumbent must be full-time enrolled CMC student pursing a degree with experience working in residence life, student leadership positions, or other on-campus positions involving strong student engagement and administrative skills. Must be a current Resident Assistance.

Applicant must demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to assume a high level of responsibility for managing one’s own work. Follow detailed directions and processes, maintain confidentiality, ability to engage and develop a positive rapport with students, and proficiency in basic computer skills.
